Microscopic Perfection
If your primary goal is having pool water so clear it looks like glass, a Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) filter is the only way to go. While standard filters let tiny dust particles and algae spores pass right back into the pool, the D.E. powder coats the internal grids and catches debris down to an incredibly small 2-3 microns.
Unmatched Polish
A human hair is roughly 50 microns wide. A D.E. filter catches particles as small as 2 microns. It is literally capable of filtering out microscopic algae spores *before* they have a chance to bloom, keeping your water incredibly bright.
Backwash Capabilities
Unlike cartridge filters, D.E. systems utilize a multiport or push-pull valve. When the pressure gets high, you simply turn the valve to "Backwash" to flush the dirty powder out into the yard, then add fresh powder through the skimmer.
Important Considerations
D.E. filters require a bit more involvement. You must keep bags of D.E. powder on hand, and many municipalities have strict rules about where you can legally backwash the white powder. We assess your property to make sure D.E. is the right fit for your yard layout.
