Grids, Manifolds & Elements
Stop dirt and debris from blowing back into your pool.
Fixing Internal Bypasses
If your vacuum is sucking up dirt, but that exact same dirt is shooting straight out of the wall jets a few seconds later, your filtration system has failed internally. When the internal components crack or tear, dirty water takes the path of least resistance right back into your pool.
Torn Cartridges & Grids
Old, brittle fabric can tear, especially under high pressure. Even a tear the size of a pinhole in a DE grid will allow cloudy DE powder and dirt to constantly leak into your pool water.
Broken Manifolds
The manifold is the plastic housing that sits on top of the grids/cartridges to hold them in place. These frequently develop hairline cracks from age or improper installation, allowing unfiltered water to bypass.
Air Bleed Tubes & Standpipes
If the small internal air-bleed screen breaks, or if the main PVC standpipe cracks at the base of the tank, the filter will not purge air correctly and dirt will pass through. We carry replacement internals for Hayward, Pentair, and Jandy filters.
