The Heavy Lifting of Filter Repair

Sand filters are incredibly reliable, but when they fail, they are a massive chore to fix. A standard residential filter holds 300+ pounds of wet, heavy sand. When that sand wears out or the internal plastic parts crack, you need professional extraction.

Broken Laterals (Sand in Pool)

At the very bottom of your tank sits a hub with plastic fingers called laterals. They have microscopic slits to let water pass but hold the sand back. When age or a heavy backwash cracks one, sand pours directly into your pool. We extract the media and rebuild the entire hub assembly.

Channeling & Sand Changes

After 3-5 years, water carves permanent tunnels ("channels") through the sand bed, meaning the water isn't actually being filtered anymore. We vacuum out the old, calcified sand and recharge the tank with fresh, sharp silica sand or modern glass media.

Valve Inspections Included

Every time we perform a sand change, we have to remove your top-mount or side-mount multiport valve. We take this opportunity to inspect your spider gasket and valve spring to ensure your filter functions perfectly once reassembled.
