Faceplates, Gaskets & Seals
The meticulous final details that prevent leaks and protect your investment.
Securing the Cuts
A vinyl liner is a single, continuous sheet of waterproof material until you have to cut holes in it for the skimmer, return jets, pool lights, and main drains. Securing those cuts is critical. The #1 cause of water loss after a cheap liner replacement is the contractor reusing old, brittle gaskets to save a few dollars. We replace everything.
Brand New Gaskets
Rubber and cork gaskets compress over time. We install brand-new, double-butterfly gaskets at every penetration point (skimmers, main drains, lights) to ensure the liner is clamped securely between fresh, watertight rubber.
Fresh Faceplates & Beauty Rings
Old plastic turns yellow, becomes brittle, and develops micro-cracks from chlorine and UV exposure. We install brilliant white (or color-matched) skimmer faceplates and return fittings so your new liner is framed by beautiful, uncracked hardware.
Cutting "Under Water"
We don't cut the holes immediately. We allow the pool to fill with water first so the weight of the water stretches the liner completely into place. Only then do we install the faceplates and make the surgical cuts, ensuring the liner never shifts and tears.
