Signs of Coping Failure

Loose or Rocking Stones

If you step on a paver and it moves, the mortar bed underneath has failed. This is a major trip hazard.

Hollow Sound

Tap on your coping with a broom handle. A hollow sound means the bond is broken, and the stone will eventually pop loose.

Cracked Bond Beam

Often, coping failure is caused by the concrete "beam" beneath it cracking. We repair the underlying structure before resetting the stone.

Our Repair Services

  • Resetting loose Travertine & Pavers
  • Replacing cracked brick coping
  • Regrouting coping joints
  • Installing expansion joint sealant

Matching Note: We do our best to match existing stones, but sun fading makes exact matches difficult. We can often pull stones from hidden areas to use for repairs.
